Arveer and the kidnappings in Little Ferry
The kidnapped children of Little Ferry shook Arveer to his core. Even though the Fate Bound hunted down the gnoll kidnappers they were unable to free the children they had taken and although they saved the four children from the cultists Arveer could not forget the look on the face of Brett Jacoby who believed his son Quinn was somehow responsible for the children that had been thrown from the mysterious purple vessel in the sky.
During the investigation Arveer confided in his friends that the torture and imprisonment of him and his family still weighed heavily on his heart. The fact that he was unable to save all the children hit too close to home. He told them that this is what drives him to help the downtrodden and anyone who is being victimized and unable to help themselves.
During the two weeks the Fate Bound remained in Little Ferry Arveer dedicated himself to getting in the best shape of his life. He wanted to make sure that his strength and endurance would not fail him in the trials that he knew were coming. To make sure he was prepared for battle he also customized the splint mail from the armory so that it fit his frame and fighting style perfectly and practiced relentlessly with his Bloodbane sword. To hone his blacksmith and leather working skills he volunteered his services to the Riverguard and spent his spare time repairing their armor and weapons. He also wrote letters to Garrison to find out if his sister Serelia was now or had ever been imprisoned there.
On many nights, in the minutes before sleep, Arveer found himself thinking about the meeting with Tyrubeli and the Hierophant card he had been given. He seemed tied to his lineage and responsibility, it was a heavy burden at times. He recalled some of her words:
"Finding what you seek may not bring you the peace you seek or it may be all that you need."
What did that mean? He knew that he must find his sister to get some answers.
