Nuvian's Knacks

More than anyone else in Evergrove, Nuvian maintains a neutral stance on the generational divide. Both his daughter and his son were killed in the war, and despite his pain, he manages to at the very least understand both sides of the divide. This understanding has made him a popular place to shop at among both the disenfranchised Haki and forlorn Ilaen.
It has also made his store one of the most peaceful public places in Latheholm. Nuvian neither permits nor entertains conversations related to the social issues at hand, instead insisting that people treat one another with respect. Were it not for his superior stock of goods, the more frustrated of Latheholm's citizens may have shopped elsewhere.

Nuvian tells people his children were killed in the war, but the truth is he never got confirmation. They both went out to sail and combat the Vescanian Navy and never returned. He was never given a body, never told they were killed or missing in action.
Whatever happened to them, Nuvian figures it's best to just believe them dead.
