Summer Camp Recap

Summer Camp is and continues to be my favorite big event of the WA year. This year ended up being a big harder than usual. I had a few strong ideas for some of the prompts, but as luck would have it, I got really sick early in the month. That made it difficult to write or do much of anything for the first week and a half of July. Work also picked up for me because summer is the busy season. So Summer Camp this year turned into a mad dash to try and finish at the end. But I did it! I wrote something for all 42 prompts which you can find here!

Worldbuilding Goals

One of the big issues I currently have with Valtena is its size. I'm a stub junkie. I love making new articles, but I don't really fill them out. Also, because I want my finished articles to have an in world feel, my first drafts for any article tend to be an out of world summary just to get ideas on the page. I'm already at 706 articles and well on my way towards 1000. So, my first order of business is to focus on articles with a ton of backlinks and then work out from there. Articles with summaries get prioritized over articles without.
I also plan on participating in Spooktober this year and World Ember, and those should fill in the bulk of new article creation. Another thing I want to work on by World Ember is my world map. It's functional for now, but after a few years, I'm not very satisfied with it. Especially now that I'm really filling out more of the world, I want to be able to make better use of maps and timelines.
