The Arling of the Mountain is also called the Principality of the Mountain. It was founded over 500 years ago by the legendary Prince Hugr, the first Prince in the Mountain during the peak of the old Ryn Kingdom. The nation started with a keep encrusted in a volcano, built by Dragonborn  followers of Xiraxes. Eventually, the keep got turned into a gigantic castle, which is now the Arling's Capitol, The Red Castle . The Prince in the Mountain  still sits in the Fyre Throne.
The region is located in a rainforest at the east-northeast part of the Kingdom of Reudelia bathed by the Dragon's Coast.
There have been attempts to obtain independence, but the current Prince in the Mountain is loyal to the Oak Throne, and is a personal friend of King Euric I, the Knight-King .

Mythology & Lore

It is said that the Kingdom was formed when Princess Helena gave the true-love kiss to the Red Dragon Xiraxes, turning him into the legendary Prince Hugr, the first Prince in the Mountain .
