Origins

The Kingdom of Roudelia has a long history, at its base, it was founded by a migrant people of magnificent warriors. To understand their current culture, we must transport ourselves to the year XXX * to the island of Rođolothea located to the west of our current Continent. There the Rouđothic people lived an agrarian tribal life in constant warfare against the 7 Tribes of the Orcs. So much so that their name means "The children of Roude", their God of War.

Their time on the island ended with the arrival of the dragon Maldranthis, who destroyed humans and orcs lives alike. King Acanwulf decided to migrate east with his entire people. Their departure from the island was not due to a lack of desire or strength to fight the dragon, but was due to her poisoning all the lands and crops, making survival impossible.

Acanwulf docked on the shores of the Continent, but thinking that his warriors would want to return to fight with Maladranthis, he had all the ships burned. Then the town was migrating towards the east. Always keeping their swords and axes sharp, hunting the beasts of those lands.

Back then the Continent was dominated by the High Elves and their Elkthelion Empire. Managing to subjugate the other races, having structured the use of magic and founded the Arcanum.

The Roudothic first encountered the elves north of Lanđathem, but they did not allow their advance. The elves had heard of the warlike traditions of their people and stamp the seal of barbarians on them. This provoked Acanwulf, who raised his fist to the air in anger, thus offending the members of the Court and causing the King of the Elves to laugh uncontrollably.

Acanwulf stormed out of the court. But then Aldaric, Acanwulf's nephew, and the most charismatic of the leaders, apologized for his uncle and requested asylum for one night for his clan. The decision of Taurfinđël, King of the Elves, used to be unalterable. But that day, Aldaric had won the admiration of the maiden Tinwë, who begged her father for compassion.

Taurfinđël complied with the requests of his daughter. He allowed them to stay in their own wagons and coaches at the gardens of Tharěa, frankly waiting for the place to be ransacked. That night Timwë summoned Aldaric to see her from the balcony of her chamber. In his mind, Aldaric already imagined a comfortable bed and a night of passion. But his wishes collapsed when he saw an elf at Tinwë's side.

Then Tinwë told Aldaric, that no matter how tough he looked on the outside, his father had a big heart. A heart that in these moments was full of mourning and pain.

The Dragon called Hacarterix had been burning the forests and killing the people of Lanđathem for months. Three days ago, Taurfindël sent his own son, Taurdelon, along with his best warriors to defeat the dragon. But only Firdël the squire had returned. Nothing else could earn his trust better, Tinwë told him, than to avenge his son and return his sword to Taurfindël.

But no one could find out that it was Tinwë who gave them the mission. So they would have to take Firdël away. He shall witness the dragon's death, identify the sword, and take the blame for contacting them.

When Acanwulf found out, he almost exploded with joy, because in his heart burnt with an eternal hatred against all dragons. Immediately Willem, Artiocas, and Adranmeris volunteered, while the other warriors would stay to protect the town.

Everyone made a circle to thank Roude, God of War, for this great opportunity. Then all the warriors, one by one, gave Firdël an awkward hug. It was admirable that he had volunteered to face again the Beast that had devoured his master and in doing so, he gave them a chance to survive.

Aldaric ate and drank like a champion, Acanwulf gave his two wives a passionate kiss, and together with Willem, Artiocas, Adranmeris, and the brave Firdël, they set out to confront the dreaded dragon.
