King Euric I, the Knight-King
King Euric I Argumar (a.k.a. The Knight-King)
Euric I became king too young at the worst of times. At five-and-ten he inherited a throne, an old war, his father's enemy, and the mistrust of elves and dwarves. But he was a knight with a fierce hand and a noble heart. He was the squire of Lord Frankas of Everblade for four years, and was anointed only two days prior his father's demise.
Many advise him to stay in the Capital and let the royal advisors to handle the difficult situations. But he rode head on to face each problem in person. He should have died, many times, but he survived thanks to his brave companions, a group that was later called the Champions of the Oak Table.
With only two months in the throne, he summoned his childhood friends to request their help. They gathered below an old oak tree where they used to play when they were little. The royal advisors despise the companions, they were too young, brash, and inexperienced, and some of them were not even nobles! But the King insisted! They gathered from time to time around the oak tree to lay their plans and assess their information.
