Forgotten City

One hundred years ago, a plage struck Zagrean. Moving quickly, a pallisade was erected around the infected district. Meridian Clerics cured those they could from outside the walled area, while those inside were, by King's command, abandoned to die. The plague burned brightly, and died out, leaving many people within the walled city starving and lost. Their saviors came not in the form of the Ravdos, or the Meridian Church, but in the form of the city's criminal element. Smugglers and thieves provided resources to the forgotten people, in exchange for gold, service, and places to hide. Over the last hundred years, the Forgotten City has flourished as a truly lawless district, in which the Ravdos never set foot. It is ruled by the Forgotten King.
