Sab Narath
The city is a sprawling mass of squat houses, broken up by some taller keeps and institutions. The core institution that resides here is The Archeological Institute . Due to the city's proximity to The Ruins of Khana, many funded expeditions begin and end here. All of which must submit their findings to the institute for processing. The artefacts found are tested and cataloged here. Those deemed too powerful and practical to trade are sent to Sab Dubar for The Emperor's assessment. Others are traded with Nemir or sent north to Sab Izel to trade with Alenian. Due to the importance of this, the city is under strict control from the Emperor who fears others may slip his artefacts to his enemies. However, it is not beyond lowly archeological processors to slip these items of power out for a hefty bribe, or for roving bands to ambush archeological expeditions returning from Khana and take what they find. Sab Narath has another important function. It resides upon The Bay of Blood and the port acts as trade hub to the southern continent where heavily armed merchant fleets embark almost daily on a perilous journey around the boiling sea and the corsairs of Paruga to reach the city of Noren. Those unable to afford the protection of the fleets try their luck either through the boiling sea or risk going around and happening upon corsair raiding parties.
While within 'The Violet Rose', one of Sab Narath's middling pleasure houses, you encounter a man searching for any to take up a task. He keeps his voice low, asking probing questions before launching into his pitch. He seeks an item, one taken by The Archeological Institute and kept in their sprawling headquarters. The reward is high, high enough to be suspicious, but enough to not ask too many questions. He cares not how you come by this artefact, but pushes you to haste.

Sab'Narath is the home of The Archeological Institute and the organisation takes up a huge section of the city, employing almost a quarter of the city's population.
