Rosaris Miter
Once a weapon of war, Rosaris Miter now serves as a holy relic and symbol of peace for followers of the Church of Rosaris.
Design/Description
The head of the staff is brilliant steel forged into the shape of a leaf with a slit in the center housing a shard of Draconic Crystal
Manufacturing process
The original weapon was forged by Dwarves, so the primary processes are lost to time with other dwarven craftsmenship secrets.
After the war, the weapon was reforged by an artificer schooled in Ore magic who was able to reshape it into the symbol of peace and faith it is today.
History
The Miter is believed to have originally been the Dragon-Slaying Arm Lucrestus used to start the Draconic War.
Once Lucrestus was slain in battle and his weapon was retrieved, the arm was reforged into a bishop's miter and has been held by each Archbishop since then as a symbol of the Church's mission for peace.
Significance
The Miter was once a weapon that sparked a terrible war that lead to the Ancient Dragons extinction as a race.
Reforging the arm into a humble miter was meant to accomplish two goals: first, as a sign of peace. To show a path that is not tied to violence and war. Second, it made the new miter a reminder of past tragedies so that the great ancient dragons and their kin might not be forgotten.
