Serapentus, Acuran of Serpents
There are some who are born for a purpose. From the moment they enter this realm, they naturally gravitate towards their purpose. They may not always be understood but the impact they have can cause waves of change for the times that follow.Serapentus was born late into the era of Acuran to the kingdom of Eyaton. From a very young age, he was seen as an outsider for two distinct reasons. The first being an unnatural fascination with snakes. The second was his ability to communicate and tame reptilian creatures. These two personality traits set Serapentus on a path to become known throughout history as the Acuran of Serpents.
War of Land & Sky:
Long ago a war broke out in another realm. A war between the giants of the Bird Realm and the united forces of the Serpent Realm. After generations of this drawn out battle, the serpents were becoming overwhelmed. This demise was seen by Serapentus himself after fumbling with the latest portal magic at the time. The horror of seeing he favourite animals slaughter left Serapentus no choice but save the serpents anyway he could. He used his ability to speak to snakes to convince the serpents to return with him back to Violem, where he promised them a haven from the bird beasts. After some deliberation, the serpents agreed, joining forces with Serapentus to escape the war. But leaving this realm was not an easy task. In the end, the Acuran of Serpents was only able to save a handful of reptiles, sending them into Violem where they could live in peace.Disciples of Serapentus:
After bringing serpents such as Sinsilaghoare and the Basilisk into the realm of magic. He needed safe locations for the large creatures as well as help to protect them from Sorcerers who would undoubtedly see them as a threat. So Serapentus created a small network of trusted allies into the secret locations of his tamed serpents. Showing them as animals that deserve love, affection and protection just as any other. Thus the Disciples of Serapentus were formed, pledging to protect the reptilian giants with their lives. Even after the death of the Acuran, the disciples continued their work until unfortunate events led to the organisation becoming corrupted by a vengeful spirit. The spirit was able to turn the once peaceful beasts into feral creatures once more and twisted the disciples into the @ServantI can't say it is an expertise of mine, but what I have found has piqued my interest. You see, the Servants that fought against the Ivory Champions all those years ago, are not actually the original order snake worshippers. If my research is correct, there was in fact an older and more peaceful group. The findings in this book and those I read in the Ivory archives simply don't match. What exactly the truth is, I can't be sure. But there is more complexity to the Servants than many believe.
Arsenal:
During his life, the Acuran of Serpents saw a great deal of conflict. So in order to protect himself he accuired various armours and weapons to aid him in battle. The most notable include:- The Shedding Cloak - Made from the scales of shedded snake skins, this cloak allows the user to temporarily shape shift into a snake whilst giving extra protection against physical attacks
- Blade of Hissing - This silver katana has the ability to shift into a silver whip if the user utters the activation incantation. A versatile weapon with multiple uses
- The Dagger of Ga-Ra-Vae - A gift from a serpent cursed with a skeleton form, unable to truly die. A single sharp fang laced with a venom which can kill a target within minutes if no antidote is received
