Sinsilaghoare (Sin-Sil-A-Gor)

In the North West of the mountainous terrain of Cytal, there is an area many travellers refuse to go near. Not far off the main pathway through the rocky valley there is the lair of an ancient serpent named Sinsilaghoare. A place that was once home to the burrowing serpent. Here, beings of Violem will find muted red dust resting on the marbled purple and brown mounds protruding from the ground. Underneath the surface, is a network of large, wide interconnecting tunnels as a reminder of the slithering beast that once lived there.   The dust rock fields are not the only inhabitants of Sinsilaghoare. Here alchemists and botonists may find dried shrubs and dried roots of mountain plantlife as well as dried throns caught in high winds, making it more dangerous than one would expect. Another danger many do not consider is the wandering Jhenga roaming around all over the mountains. This is not a place many would ever need to visit.

The Burrowing Serpent

Originally, this was the home of a giant serpent, who was found and protected by the ancient Serapentus, who was fascinated by these creatures, naming the location after this serpent. What made this beast unique to other snakes was its sheer size, estimated to be 100ft long and 15ft wide. As well as its additional features that allowed it to burrow and tunnel easily through most natural stone. With armoured scales shaded red and golden brown across its body and 3 sets of spines running down its back, sharp enough to slice through a boulder with ease. Finally it had 2 tusks bending round the front of its mouth to help it pierce solid objects, a pickaxe or drill. Although this wasn't the fastest reptile around, it certainly made up for it in size and strength.   The history of the serpent is limited, what is known is that it was protected by Serapentus before his death and later under the protection and the command of the Servants of Salamar. Who used the serpent for acts of evil, drawing the attention of The Ivory Champions in the time of exploration. A battle between the serpent and the champions led to a larger conflict between the servants and champions, with the champions eventually coming out on top.
