Elf

Elves are creatures highly attuned to natural environments. They share a special connection with anything natural. They respect all living things and are intimated by extraplanar creatures and elements that they consider unnatural.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Elves look like humans but slimmer and a bit shorter. Their height reaches an average of 1,70 and their weight an average of 65 kilos. They have pointy ears, beautiful features, rich hair but no facial or body hair. It is almost impossible to determine an elf’s age after a certain point. After the first 100 years that they are considered children and look relatively smaller than adult elves, they hardly age. Their skin does not wrinkle and their bodies preserve their beauty and grace until the end of their days. Their skin and hair color varies according to bloodlines and tribes. Their natural life span varies from 250-500 years. Most elves belong to the Sentin, Meteor and Crimson tribes.

Civilization and Culture

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Elves are calm, graceful and usually joyful, as long as they are surrounded by nature. They have a way with blending with the environment, passing almost unnoticed by others, including animals. Their presence is discreet and does not cause fear or anger to animals, people or even monsters. They can be cynical and more logical than sentimental, and tend to ignore social and political events of the rest of the world. In other societies they can hold their own pretty well but the toxicity of industrial cities can severely affect an elf’s well being.

History

"The fourth race were the Elves. The fire in their chest was weak and the Sentinel, used a strong root to mend it. The fire then became strong and allowed the Elves to live for many centuries. It didn’t want them to be heavy, so instead of stone, it made them with leaves and roots, air and water, and as a result, the elves worshiped the forests and the fertile lands and the rivers, and wished to live inside of them. In the trees, they could see their roots and feel their life the same way they felt it in their breasts, and for that, they wanted to protect them, for their lives and that of the trees, were connected. They possessed great dexterity and speed, and could survive easily in forests, and they were patient, with slow but wondrous creations that would aid them in their cause. Their mind often strayed, absorbed by the beauty of nature, making them idle in their work, causing their lives to be often blank and unfulfilled."   Excerpt from The Creation of the Races.
