Underworld
The Underworld is a plane directly connected to a Prime World. It is located beneath its surface and is also accessible via magic or even natural gateways. However, crossing in and out of the Underworld requires significant power. Creatures who die transverse to the Astral Plane and from there are naturally led to the Underworld achieving Oblivion. Unlike other planes, the Underworld is a place of Oblivion. It allows no consciousness of any form, forcing its inhabitants into a state of peaceful non-existence. Creatures within the Underworld are oblivious and unable to interact with each other or the environment. As an environment, the Underworld is a place of calm and dark waters, divided into huge streams that run along lanes of black rocks that form islands. Each small island is considered to be the last home of an individual, a place of rest disconnected from everything else. Crossing into the Underworld is possible through magic and even gateways that physically lead to its waters. Creatures that are awakened from their Oblivion are called to cross the river and reach one of the gateways that lead back to the world of the living. However, the Underworld is an endless maze of water and darkness and its islands are almost impossible to distinguish. Creatures that wake up, or others who visit the Underworld, are often lost and forced to dwell in its waters deprived of Oblivion. Waking creatures up from their Oblivion requires tremendous power. Certain creatures can navigate themselves through the waters of the Underworld and can cross the Gates that connect the Underworld to the Prime World. Such creatures are usually the Greater Undead, whose condition gives them the ability to inhabit both worlds while being equally attuned to them, but without benefiting from the most important privileges of either. The Greater Undead cannot rest in the Underworld and achieve Oblivion or enjoy some of the earthly pleasures of the Prime World which makes them cursed but such opinions Might differ according to ideologies that are often manipulated by religions. While in the Underworld, a creature rests in the Ethereal condition deprived of a physical vehicle. Their form, however, resembles their former self as remembered from the world of the living. A creature who achieves Oblivion begins to forget all the memories of its mortal life as time progresses. One of the trials required to return to the world of the living is for the dead creatures to regain physical form.
