Cafeld Dungeon

Entering from the Cafeld Ruins you descend into the dark web filled corridor. Steadily climbing down the smooth stone walls are cold to the touch, some parts are slick and shiny with patches of black ice.

Purpose / Function

This underground structure served as a wizards labratory for various investigations and experiments. Many were carried out in the subterrarian halls. Having been sealed for centuries the structure has degraded. Floors are cracked, walls have broken and caved in.

History

The wizard Cafeld would research and experiment in many fields in the subterranean halls of his home. He dabbled in enchanting and astronomy but his true interests were in alchemy and lifeforms, flora and fauna. He grew his own plants for the purposes of experimenting with alchemy and the creation of potions in a self regulating greenhouse. He also kept a large library for research and notes with it's own caretaker.

In the largest chamber at the back of the facility he kept his experimentation room. There he did questionable experiments on creatures to understand physiology and how the body works. He performed magics and augmentation on many creatures in his pursuits. Many of his experiments failed and were discarded, used as fertilizer for his greenhouse. The ones that did succeed were kept for observation and training until they could safely leave the facility.
