Cafeld Ruins
A steady incline makes it's way up to what looks like old ruined buildings. The nearby rocky cliffside plumets down into the bay, salty winds sweep past you as you climb. As you get closer to the destroyed structures it appears to be the remains of an old town, a few stone structures still stand. One structure is built into the edge of a rocky outcropping, a pair of large stone doors with no handles block the way. Many Darvalans consider the old ruins to be cursed, only the foolish dare venture into the old structures.
Denizens
A group of 4-6 (depending on party size) members of the Boartusk Clan are found in the ruins with another 3-5 nearby that come if fighting breaks out.
Valuables
The living quarters are filled with bedrolls The crates and barrels near the stone buildings are used to store the various wares that the clan steal from trade caravans. They are filled with food, clothing, skins, wool, and metals. There is far too much to carry unless the group has some form of transportation. One has odd trinkets and a collection of silver and copper coins.

Architecture
Most of the village lays in ruin, long returned to the earth. The few buildings still remaining are all solid stone and even some of those have fallen to the elements of time. Those that still have four walls have thatch roofs that were added long after their original construction. Aside from the buildings there is a rough stone outcropping with a solid stone set of doors against one side, unmarred by the elements. Carved into the doors is a symbol.
Entry
- Upon investigating the outcropping with the sealed doors, on a DC 25 Investigation check the players can find a button expertly hidden amongst some of the rocks that open the doors.
- They can also cast Dispel Magic or similar spells to remove the enchantment that holds the doors shut, the enchantments level is 5 for these purposes. Once removed the doors still stay shut but can be pushed open with a DC 15 Athletics check.
- A long stolen Ring of Protection with an emblem that matches the door, when attuned to, will open the door automatically upon approach.
Descending
A set of stone stairs descend into darkness, dusty cobwebs lay thick in the corridor. The smell of dry moldy air wafts up from the depths with an eerie silence permeating the area once the door opened, as if a long held taboo of the land has been broken. This leads to the Cafeld Dungeon
History
The ruin used to be a small village centuries ago for a group of people that worked for a wizard. The wizard researched a great many thing from astronomy to alchemy. The sealed doors lead to his primary lab where unknown treasures sit. But no one knows what happened to the wizard or the town, it is commonly believed that he, intentionally or accidentally, released a horrible magic that cursed the land.
