General Summary
Brews and Juice and Rest
- Outside of the dome, the elementals raged, tearing the city of Ogmothynstar to shreds. Simmra's dome and the tree dome seemed the only safe places.
- Simmra indicated that the tree dome was somehow sacred.
- Farren got Ogmarr and Alton's help to brew two new potions of storm giant enlargement. The process was not perfect. They seemed like they would last only twelve hours.
- Alton made some grape juice.
- Harold asked Krumbleton to help him recover from his exhaustion.
- Even after the entire party had rested, the storm outside showed no signs of lessening.
The Others
- Farren used his sending stones to contact his ship before resting, and learned that there was a storm above the water as well, but no sign of the kraken returning. He told Gore the barbarian to get the ship to a safe place.
- Farren contacted "Quiet", learned that he has escaped with the children. Of the stealthy storm giants, there were also two survivors who had taken shelter in the guildhall beneath the palace.
How to get out
- Farren asked Hef if he could swim in the storm, but the young dinosaur was not confident.
- The party deliberated for a while, trying to find a way to get themselves and all their companions to safety.
- Simmra's dome was holding strong, but the ghost claimed it would last as long as she lived...
- After much deliberation, experimenting with the endless soap in the raging waters, etc, the party had a plan.
- Alton guessed that the guildhall must have been a theives guild hall. Entrances were usually behind statues of the three Thieves and there would likely be multiple entrances in the city. Farren used his magic to locate the nearest statue.
- Alton, still enlarged, wearing Beau's cloak and with a spell of freedom of movement from Ryltar, and the sticky rope as well as everyone else's normal rope, went out into the water. With him went Hef (enlarged as Farren fed him a potion) carrying Krumbleton. Krumbleton healed the dinosaur as the waters tossed stones and other things at them.
- After locating the statue, Alton lit it up.
- Beau, Farren, and Harold were able to barely make it out from the dome. They, and Simmra, attempted to dimension door straigt to it. The acolyte of the child went with Harold. Ryltar went with Farren. Ogmarr went with his mother. Po San Di went with Beau.
- Beau risked her life, managing to barely save Sandi when the waters crashed against them.
- The party located the two other storm giants in a dry portion of the underground Thieves' Guild.
Beau's Teleportation Service
- The party, mostly enlarged, convinced their smaller companions to hop in their slightly larger than usual bags of holding.
- Farren attempted to contact Filfinil once more, and asked Krumbleton to scry her but it seemed she had likely perished.
- Farren contacted Tragir, and learned that Gaulgrastar was under attack, and the kraken was likely there.
- The group teleported back to Gaulgrastar, suffering several mishaps. Harold turned into a rock to avoid hurting himself, destabilizing Beau's magic.
- In the distance, it seemed a number of storm giants supported by flying dinosaur riding dark elves, Zuktern, and Ashryn were doing what they could to hold the kraken back.
- Farren and Alton shouted of Ogmothynstar's defeat, bolstering nearby Gaulgrastar forces.
