General Summary

Knock Knock

• Braa, Beerum, and "Penelope" awoke to the approach of a grumpy dwarf.
• Braa sensed something was amiss, but Beerum allowed him into the room.
• Beerum was sure to pay for repairs to the door.
• Beerum almost left the sleeping dwarf they had saved from the spider web with the newcomer but sensed he was a vampire.
• Penelope asked if the dwarf was a were-wolf, to which he jockingly replied yes.
• The dwarf identified himself as "Lord Shatterdhelm".
• Braa and Poppy were charmed.
• Shatterdhelm diverted the conversation away from the missing caravans, though his eye twitched every time the "turning people into animals" detail was mentioned.
• Shatterdhelm offered "Penelope" 30 gp plus 5 gp for each of her companions if she should find out who was using the caravans to smuggle out ancient treasures.
• Tholki appeared from his bottle, disguised as Shatterdhelm erm... or his brother?.
• Shatterdhelm did not recognize himself... and commented that he needed to brush his beard.

Wolf

• While Beerum did not like leaving a vampire to it's own devices, he had no evidence Shatterdhelm had done anything, and also doubted he could fight him yet.
• The party chose to return to Snowbyrd's Crossroads. They were joined by one of the wolves that refuised to leave them. It left the inn, but followed Tholki as he closed every window.
• Tholki resumed his normal appearance.

Research

• Braa returned to his friend at the Deep Raccoon to see if anyone had heard of the "Shatterdhelm". He was told that some dwarf named Nufubela had been ranting about him. She had been shopping in town, calling him the prince or some such.
• After asking around, the party learned that, in a children's book, Ramoli Shatterdhelm was named the forgemaster of the four moons, the lord under the old sun, the king of the before times.
• "Penelope" conned 1 plat from a small child. She attempted to win more money but found that it did not work well without cheating. Beerum was concerned.
