General Summary
Let's Not Fight The Dragon
- Captain Farren and Alton attempt to convince the dragon to help them get to the next floor
- The dragon expressed sadness that Farren would probably become more dead if they continued up to see Myviira
- They tried to reassure her but she just slumped down and shrugged
- The dragon stated that Myviira just opened a door, and questioned why whoever had sent them had not given them a key to open the door
- The dragon breathed cooler air after she had been entertained by Farren, Alton, and Harold.
Rust Breaks Invisibility
- Rust broke invisibility to greet the dragon
- The dragon commented that the warforged was trying to speak common but must be having issues or a weird accent, as there was no way the dragon's common was rusty.
- Rust got excited as the dragon knew of Abernyn.
- The dragon commented that the warforged had come from Abernon, an apparently boring world where a war had ended. They had come with Stalvin, who had died. She wondered if his soul was with the fiend he had made a deal with, though Andichar had ditched him early on.
- The dragon had heard of Rune and of Sentinel, both members of the company
- The dragon referred to Rune as 'she' but then admitted she wasn't sure if that was the correct pronoun.
- The dragon mentioned that one of Rune's legs might have been in the fortress somewhere.
- Rust wanted Alton to check the ethereal plane for the ghost of Rune but Alton was concerned he might be attacked by other ghosts
- Rust communicated with the dragon in primordial, very excited to ask about Ebernon.
- The dragon took a liking to Rust and wanted to keep him
- Farren and Alton encouraged Rust to give the dragon a payment so she would let him go.
- He offered a poster of Bard Vek, which the dragon burned in disgust.
- He offered a burned d20, to which she asked Farren why he was pulling out trash
- He offered a glowing orb to which she again asked why he was pulling out trinkets and trash
- Rust rummaged through his bag, pulling out Vickie's demonomicon briefly. The dragon took an interest, stating that there was a similar but different book in the library. Rust put it away, not wanting to part with it.
- Rust eventually pulled out the endless boxes, but also did not want to part with them.
- He set about stacking the boxes into a massive box fort after the dragon asked if he was going to put on a performance
- The dragon let him go, thinking he was defective.
The Mirror
- After Farren and Alton and Harold bothered the dragon enough regarding the mirror shard lodged in her tail that she flung it into the forest where Alton retrieved it.
- Alton and Krumbleton tried to put the mirror pieces together but they sparked with magic and refused to join.
- Alton dropped invisibility.
- One half depicted the destroyed building in it's prime. The other depicted an empty room resembling one from the tower.
- Alton was transported into the mirror when he touched it, but invisible Krumbleton could not follow.
- Krumbleton shouted 'witchcraft'
- Krumbleton was not able to follow Alton into the mirror
- Alton returned to a confused Krumbleton
- With Rust allowed to go, and the dragon bored in the corner, breaking boxes again, the party made to leave, almost forgetting Harold
- While Rust and Alton were allowed to go through the mirror, Krumbleton, Donnie, and Farren were unable to go through
- The captain woke Harold up.
- The party realized that the invisible party members could not cross through the mirror
- All invisibility was dropped and the party went through the mirror to a nearly empty room in Myviira's tower
Is This the End of Harold
- Harold opted to fly towards the red light in the sky
- He greeted the warm light, which greeted him back
- The light questioned if he was there for some nefarious purpose
- The light claimed to be trapped
- Harold offered to try something to help him escape
- Harold attempted to absorb the light into the helmet.
- The light condensed into the shape of Harold and stepped into him
- Harold fell unconscious and plummeted to the ground
- Harold's feather activated
Gantar
- Harold awoke but claimed to be Gantar, the Embodied Star, dual spirited, feller of vakaros the risen
- The party was concerned to find Harold apparently possessed
- The captain stated that they did not have time to deal with it now
- Gantar expressed that he was a star
- Gantar expressed an uncomfortable favouritism for elves
- Gantar expressed desire to escape, protect, and get revenge
- Harold has two shadows now
The Next Floor
- The next floor was a library
- There were wall sconces but they only cast purple light in their immediate vicinity
- There was a winding stair heading upstairs
- The party heard restrained crying from the floor above, as well as a cocky voice mocking Ryltar
- The party opted to attack, despite Myviira apparently being upstairs
- The party attempted to sneak up stairs but was unsuccessful.
- Donnie preemptively hasted the captain
- On the floor above, Myviira was brushing the hair of a non-vampire terrified dark elf woman. Ryltar was battered in a magic circle, with blood on his neck, trying to watch.
