Pinnacle
Pinnacle is a plane of pure order where everything has a place and everything in its place. Hailed as a perfect society by the residents, it is the smallest plane and is almost entirely taken up by a massive city called Epitome. The plane is ruled by the deities Aedifidea - Planar Architect and Tempmet - Time's Arrow / Moons' Keeper who began the creation of the Material Plane. The plane is shaped on the inside of a sphere rather than the outside like all other spherical planes. This way it is the only plane unaffected by the Turmoil and stays on a constant orbit through the Astral Plane.
The residents of Pinnacle were created by the two deities of the plane and were given life from The Expanse. These first beings are called Aphorites, and since their creation, Aedifidea and Tempmet have been working tirelessly to create even more perfect beings. Their next creations were pseudo-organic beings they referred to as Androids, these humanoids are less common than Aphorites but Aedifidea and Tempmet were still not satisfied. They next created Automatons, completely inorganic beings that run on the power of a soul. These humanoids are even more rare than both Aphorites and Androids. The souls that power these automatons belong to the mortals of the Material Plane that followed either Aedifidea or Tempmet during life and have proven worthy of Pinnacle and have been chosen from The Ashes Beyond. Some of the automatons remember their soul's past life while others only experience fleeting memories if any at all. Whether Aedifidea and Tempmet are satisfied with these new creations or not is unknown but they have yet to try and create a new iteration of "perfect" humanoid.
Despite the so-called "perfection" of Pinnacle and Epitome, some residents of the plane do fail to live up to the expectations laid out before them. If someone, be they an aphorite, android, or automaton, fail to live up to their purpose, become off balance, out of order, or fail to find a companion to balance out their imbalances, then they will be banished from Pinnacle to the Material Plane where they are expected to be a better influence on that plane than they are on Pinnacle.
Because of the high expectations of everyone who resides on Pinnacle, it is one of the hardest planes to access and tuning forks to arrive to the plane are nearly impossible to come by. Enter schools of thought and wizardry as well as monastic orders have been created by groups of people on Vylderaine attempting to become "perfect" enough to gain entry to Pinnacle.
