Blood must flow. The many cultures of Yolotli believe, beyond doubt, that the world will end if the gods are not fed. For the people of this land, sacrificing your blood and breath in battle or on the altar, is the only sure way to gain a place in the Sky-Realm among the gods. Without vitality empowering the gods of the Under-Realm, the unstoppable World Beast will rise up and consume all of existence. Some peoples may sacrifice animals, burn valuable hardwoods or make other offerings, but all agree for the need to fuel the infernal Blood Engine that keeps the ancient enemy at bay.
