Lochros

Lochros is the second of two core planes of the Eridún Crux, the other being Eridún itself. Despite its relatively small size (2,900 km diameter) it is the fifth most populated plane in the Crux, being the military capital of the Daybreak Empire.

Its demonym is Lochrian.

Nature

Lochros is the only Class II plane in the Crux, meaning it is only made up of the two uppermost layers of reality: the Arcane and Material. Lacking the third or Spective layer, residents cannot dream and higher cognition dampens over time. The Daybreak Empire takes advantage of this by housing both its major military and major prison infrastructures here: the cognitive dulling makes prisoners and soldiers alike more complacent and therefore obedient. Higher ranking members of the Empire are posted here only in shifts to reduce the effect. Even among these officials the effect is only a whispered rumour, usually dismissed.
