Political and military leader of the Rurikid Empire. House Ivanov has passed the position down in a continued line of male heirs for generations. The current Emperor is Dmitri IV.

History

Emperor Dmitri the IV ascended to the throne three years ago when his father, Emperor Dmitri III died from an unknown illness. In those three years, Emperor Dmitri has pushed against the fragile balance of power that has held for a century, having a contentious relationship at best with the Imperial College of Magic and Mage Counselor Ovak Longtusk.
