Agatha von Böhrn (Barn)
Lector, Supreme Law Lord, High Lord Judge Of The Reikland
Agatha von Böhrn is an influential figure within the Empire. Aside from being a Lector of the Cult of Verena, she is also the Supreme Law Lord of the Empire and High Lord Judge of Reikland, meaning she is Reikland's foremost voice on legal affairs.
These positions grant her seats on both the Imperial Council of State and Reikland Council. Forums that handle much of Emperor Karl Franz's day-to-day business in his roles as Emperor and Grand Prince of Reikland, respectively.
Agatha von Böhrn's elder sister is Agetta von Böhrn, Baroness of Böhrn a prime estate that grants her sister the right to sit on the Reikland Diet. However, as Agatha spends much of her time in Altdorf fulfilling her three previously mentioned roles, and so she often attends meetings of the Reikland Diet on behalf of her sister Agetta. Agatha is very experienced in legal matters and is widely considered to be one of the most intelligent people in the Empire. In all her rulings, she also speaks with the authority of the Cult of Verena. Unfortunately, Agatha von Böhrn is a woman torn between her duty and loyalty to her calling and beliefs, and her own self-preservation. She knows that the recent actions of the Emperor in the annexation of Ubersreik are illegal and unjust. She has researched the constitutional law and its precedents and cannot condone the Emperor's actions. But she also knows that to speak out and do her duty as the Supreme Law Lord would be seen as an act of disloyalty and possibly rebellion and could not only result in the loss of her position but also discredit her family and mark them as traitors to the Empire. This internal conflict is causing her immense stress and making her short-tempered and bitter. She feels betrayed by both her peers and the gods who have put her in such an impossible position.
