Mauerblumchen’s most attractive hotel stands overlooking a small park.   The Imperial is considered one of the higher class hostelries and is often used by the entourage of the northern Provincial Electors whenever their master personally attends the Imperial Court.   It is faced in gleaming white marble and statues of the gods dot the grounds.   Inside, the reception area is lush and the 87 double rooms are gorgeously furnished and impeccably clean.   Beneath the hotel is a well-stocked wine cellar and a small private bathhouse, with hot and cold pools.   The porters and servers strive to do their best for their guests, and are obsequious in their fine manners. They are willing to procure almost anything that the market areas of Altdorf can offer for their guests upon request. Should their service be displeasing to a valued customer, the hotel owner makes immediate and lavish compensation.   Entertainers do not perform here. The guests expect a serene environment, and the concierges are only too willing to arrange for a coach to take them to the theatre if they are in need of distractions.

The Reception Room

The reception area of the hotel is the first room you enter when you walk through the double doors into the hotel.   It is an impressive display of white marble colonnades and dark oak panelling with a veritable forest of potted shrubs and a few scattered seats and tables. The walls are adorned with portraits of Imperial Emperors and heroes.

At the far end of the room is the reception desk, which is a bit like the bar in a tavern except that it hands out keys rather than drinks. The desk is almost always occupied by an Imperial Gnome, as like most Imperial businesses the hotel values the tendency for gnomes to be honest, fastidious and driven by an obsession for sticking to the rules and following the process, which makes them perfect for handling the hotel bookings.

The Main Suites

The rooms are arranged in suites each consisting of a small reception room just inside the door with a servants room off to one side allowing the occupants servants to can come and go without disturbing their masters and mistresses,   The main receiving room is comlete with comfortable chairs and a writing table near the window and leads into a guests bed chamber with a large double bed.   The whole suite is immaculately decorated in the Imperial style with paintings of pastoral scenes on the walls and small decorative ornaments scattered around on small tables along with fresh flowers and potted plants.   A small personal shrine to Sigmar is set neatly in the corner of the room for the guests daily devotions complete with a plush kneeler embroidered with the Imperial Crest tucked underneath.   The view from the large window looks out over the gardens to the rear of the building with its promenade lined with statues of the gods of man and a fountain surrounded by seats and sheltering trees.

The Dining Room

The dining room of the Imperial is large enough to accomodate all of its guests and any visitors with the wealth to afford its prices. The central area is arranged so that guest may6 sit and eat whilst facing each other and engagnig in social interactions 'Seen And Being Seen' as one would want to be when spending so much money.

But there are quieter tables around the edge of the room design for more discreet dining when one does not wish to be disturbed and screens for when one does not even want to be seen.
