Jay Aster

Jay is one of the protagnists. He's saracastic and witty, and enjoys poking fun of others. He also enjoys feeling superior over others, and as a result often hides information from others. After the death of his older brother, he decided that he would be cold to the world, and began to bury his feelings.
In the book, Jay is very much a driving force. His stubborn nature and insatiable curiousty leads to a large chunk of the discoverys in the book.
