Midnight Mountain

This large mountain stands out as the largest natural monument on the peninsula. It towers above the plains of Winderia, yet it is not a part of any mountain range. The superstitious people of the realm believe the mountain represents some type of mystical or magical power, but most see it as nothing more than an anomaly. The mountain serves as the backdrop to Mystryl and the source of the Midnight River, which flows westward to Stillwater Bay. The river and its branches irrigate the western plains.

The Midnight Mountain Incident

One 21 Fadien 4914 AW, the Cult of Quoros performed a ceremony inside Midnight Mountain, trying to resurrect their god they believed was dead. The chaos created tremors and released energy from the Void that tore through the mountain. Structures all over the city were damaged or destroyed, including a large portion of the Temple of Nine Stars. The mountain still stands, though its condition is still unclear.
