Governor Bradley Gollanhad
Bradley Gollanhad, a very talented and devoted administrator, has spent his entire life serving the High King. He may very well be the greatest man ever born in Eire. And yet, the only thing Bradley's remembered for is the Gollanhad's Pact, a desperate decision he had to make not out of his own free will, but by being forced to choose between two equally terrible options. And now every single noble of the Old World feels free to dirten his name and condemn Gollanhad for the decision he made.Bradley Gollanhad was born into a middle-class family living in the Kingdom of Eire. Possessing a rare knack for management, he served the High King in many positions, gradually gaining more wealth and influence within the court. Gollanhad's crowning achievement came when he was appointed the Governor-General of all Eirish colonies in the New World, administrating them from the most important colony of all, Sol Meridia. However, soon the island came under threat of being conquered by the Ardenian Empire during the Siege of Sol Meridia. In order to fulfill his duty, governor Gollanhad had to ask the local communities for help in defending the island, which came at a hefty price. The Gollanhad's Pact, signed by the governor and the representatives of the island's militia, granted the latter much authority in managing the island's day-to-day affairs. That was how the Benevolent Council came to be. And while High King Thomas Gilroy did confirm Gollanhad's singature with his own, making it an official document, Bradley Gollanhad fell out of favour. He spent the rest of his life as the governor of Sol Meridia, having given away most of his power on the island and stripped of his position as the Governor-General, until dying of old age at the end of what was once such a promising story.
