Hovers
Hovers are forms of transport that makes use of a small platform one stands or sits upon and controls with mental suggestion. Originally coming from Strakh as a way to easily travel between the floating islands, Hovers have been adapted by other realms as a quick and easy form of manuvering from one place to another. With the advent of Hovers in other realms, it has made travel for some a lot quicker-- or in some cases in times of conflict, acted as a good way for soldiers to get to the front-lines as fast as possible.
After The Withering, usage of Hovers has become essential for some, acting as a form of quick travel for people who just want to get from one area to another without worry of the various feral creatures or Purple Hazes getting to them. However, usage of Hovers also comes with the cost that due to their lightweight nature, you cannot carry heavy objects with you.
Power Generation
Typically, a Hover will be powered by a surplus of Mana. This takes one of three forms, typically: Powered via the pilot's magical ability, powered by a small Edenite Battery, or via mana that is infused into the materials the Hover is made out of.
When Hovers were first made in Strakh, the only form of power that had existed for Hovers were typically that of the pilot's latent Mana due to the fact that, in Strakh, there was not much of a need for external sources. However, when species from other realms began to make their own Hovers, particularly Humanity, they needed alternative ways to power Hovers. As a result, Edenite Batteries were used.
Propulsion
After the Hover is made with the chosen form and materials needed, it is casted with various spells that allow for it to connect to the mind of the person whom wishes to pilot the Hover. When someone rides a Hover, it takes but a mere thought to begin traveling through the air, with the spells embued within the Hover converting the Mana within it into movement, making use of Motus to do so.
Armor and defense
Due to the small nature of a Hover, they tend to be rather defenseless most of the time, oftentimes relying on the pilot's own magical protection with the use of Barriers.
