Styx
Styx is a series of offshore oil platforms that have been retrofitted into being a living space rather than used for obtaining oil. Orginally created by a shell company belongong to the Deepcore Foundation, Styx would be abandoned after the well beneath it dried up, followed by The Withering and the subsequent dissolution of the Deepcore Foundation. It would not be rediscovered until 2030, when a group of Nymphs were lost at sea until they sailed upon the abandoned platform.
Demographics
Although Styx is mostly inhabited by Nymphs, there are a fair amount of Humans and Transformed living on the ocean platform. A decent amount of the inhabitants are experienced in fishing and maintaining the entire structure to keep it from sinking to the bottom of the ocean. A fair amount of teachers are located onboard Styx for education in not just engineering and sailing for fish, but helicopter lessons and other, smaller jobs that are available, such as metal-working and deep-sea diving.
Government
Styx follows it's own government outside of that of the mainland. Although there are still a fair amount of traditions and laws followed from the other governments-- Such as a lack of taxation and the illegality of murder, it's not uncommon for people who've broken the law in some form in other parts of the world to lie out in hiding out on Styx.
Of course, this does not mean that theft and other such things such as human trafficking occurs that often. Alongside the push for an ideal that everyone there is united against the hellscape and dangers of the world around them now, there's a fair amount of security located upon Styx. This includes rooms that are ID protected, Arcanists whom work as security guards, and midnight watches on the whole platform.
It's often been suggested that if Nyx Shepard, the woman running the platform, found out about any crimes commited involving human trafficking or abuse, she will come for you. When she does, the criminal in question tends to end up going missing for a few weeks before being returned, oftentimes with a tremendous fear of the water having been obtained.
Infrastructure
When the Styx Oil platform was first made, it only constructed of two struts: The living quarters/storage area and the main strut for drilling for oil. Over the years after it was discovered, the inhabitants would gradually construct more and more struts, making use of abandoned Deepcore Foundation technologies and schematics that allowed for them to add onto the existing structure.
Climate
Due to it's location far from the east coast of North America, Styx is prone to being hit by thunderstorms and hurricanes. Whenever the latter happens, the Arcanists form Barriers around the entire structure to protect it from the heavy rain and wind.
Other than that, however, the weather tends to alternate rather heavily between being rather cold and very hot-- the latter of which is not helped by the intense heat caused by the occasional Purple Haze that passes by.

What a fascinating place. I like being able to click on the different struts on the map. Definitely not somewhere I would want to live though! :O
