Kingdom Fjkorder

Kingdom Fjkorder is one of the thirteen kingdoms that make up the Roscrean Empire. It is the smallest of the thirteen and sits on the bank of the Kenhardt River. The kingdom contains only one city- City Fjkorder, which has grand and majestic blue walls with curly banners that spread over the majority of their width. The kingdom provides the empire with care over the Kenhardt River and a large amount of drinking water to the rest of the kingdoms. The kingdom also boasts the famous Museum of Roscrea, which details the Empire's history extensively. This has led to interest from both the gods Appresgal and Uyat. The citizens of City Fjkorder created a great chapel in honor of Appresgal because he is the god of memory. Cultists of Uyat, known as the Memory Stakers are also active in the region and often try and steal from the museum. The kingdom is also known for its great Aqueduct which delivers water throughout the dry region.

History

Founding

Once apart of Kingdom Roln, the spiritual birth of Kingdom Fjkorder would begin in 4283 2E, when King Grenegret I would order the construction of the city of Fjkorder along the Kenhardt River to facilitate trade and guard the river. The city would soon be troubled with being ruled from a place as far as Rolnd that sits on the Diservive Gulf, and after the new king, Grenegret II, would not grant funding to complete the construction of the western portion of the city, the people of City Fjkorder, led by Yvenna Golfstre, nicknamed the Queen of the River for her care of the Kenhardt River, would turn to Empress Imeldia Dranil to separate from Kingdom Roln, which she granted in hopes to gain their support. Grenegret II, hearing the news, would try and declare war in hopes of regaining the city under his control. However, he and his loyalists were kicked from rule during the Rolnd Revolt in 4903 2E. He would then form the faction known as the Swords of Disservive, and march to capture City Fjkorder. When he entered the lands of Kingdom Fjkorder, scouts immediately told Queen Golfstre about the approaching army. With the entire city watching from the walls, she sallied forth and rode to meet the invading army. Grenegret II, with anger clouding his actions, rode ahead of his army to meet Queen Golfstre, but with one swift motion, decapitated him. The Swords of Diservive, watching their commander be beheaded, turned tail and would later become a mercenary guild. With this victory, Kingdom Fjkorder secured their independence and a song was written about the events, called Grenegret the Headless.
