Festival of the Guards Report
General Summary
Party went from Captain Feyrith Inahorn to Lady Brandybock. She then escorted them to the Higher Echelons viewing place up on the cliff side of the Hall.
Malkath found the same cliffside, but bit lower down as a good viewing spot.
Once it began they waited for some hour or so. Parade went on fine. Then it erupted in chaos and pandemonium as commoners and some guards started to attack everyone around them.
They went down to follow Malkath who drew his warhammer and went in to try and help. But got swept away with the panicking crowed. The rest of the party tried to follow Malkath but got swooped up as well.
Fought cursed guard Jona, killed him. Found the ring of his fiance Emily.
Found the cursed woman with the child inside the burning building. Saved her. She, her husband and their kid made it.
They then went down into the sewers via The Rib and Plate and tried to follow the signs to get to the headquarters of the cult. It didn't go perfect and they spent some time (1h app.) in finding their way down there.
Ran into one of the hellhounds guarding the sewers around the cultists base. Defeated it.
Then went into the layer and fought 8 cultists and the den leader.
Stoped the ritual to siphen the spirits from the killed down to power Baptomet. Aista saw parts of Baptomet in the mirror before Baptomet severed the connection. Aista thinks she broke the mirror.
The actually used strategy this time and defeated the cultists. Killed all but one. And also killed the den leader. Check the cells, no one there. but saw that the chair had been used recently.
Took the body, and their new friend back to Feyrith Inahorn. He was glad they managed to stop the ritual and to also capture a cultist for questioning. He gave them Secret Branch of the Guard badges. At least to the three, not Malkath. King has approved, but guards are yet not informed.
They go over to Lady Brandybocks estate and she is delighted that they are still alive and well. Meet Malkath and have it arranged for him to stay at her estate.
They eat and chat with her all afternoon and evening. And at the end of the evening, as the sky grows dark. They are all in the upstairs sitting room talking among themselves. Then the sky suddenly turns vibrant pink. It starts at the top over the city. Then like water glides down. The things is vibrant and electric. And covers the whole city, to the point outside the gates.

Stopped this ritual from taking too many souls. But Baptomet got some more power. Plus Asbravn got sacrificed.
They are now captured. They gained some more about Baptomet as a person. And have some more hooks to bite into.
They know that Father is another person. He has the knowledge of creating the portal for Baptomet to pass through into the material plane.
They know Father is in the Dark tower, between the cities.
