Air Elemental

A species of Elemental that form when a soul flies in and mixes with with the Air Chaos. Their soul is thought to be mutilated in such a way that they may never return to their original form. They flit through the skies of the World of Mortals and World of Gods, sculpting beautiful homes for themselves. They generally only use chaos magic, only utilizing air magic, but have no preference. Air elementals usually just say air chaos magic comes easily.

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

They can exist in any environment with enough fresh air, but the more air there is, and the more freely the air moves, the better. This leads them to like either living in the sky, the Air Chaos, on mountaintops, although the sides are acceptable, or on plains. If they settle in an area with too little airflow, they will manipulate the wind, using it to carve out more paths for the wind to take.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

They primarily live in the Air Chaos. None live in the Shadowfell, very few live in the Feywild, and those who do live in the sky or on the canopies of trees. A large number live in the World of Mortals, either on mountains, plateaus, or plains.

Civilization and Culture

History

They were created in the Elemental Chaos, in the subsection of Air Chaos, and gradually migrated out from there. They were the slowest Elementals to migrate away, and are the least likely to join any sort of society. They primarily are still nomads, but when they do settle down and join with other species they are said to create the most beautiful cities.
