Fallfox
Weathered granite encircles the sloping hillside town of Fallfox with an iron gate built into the west wall. A dirt road leads from this entrance to a market square surrounded by several wooden buildings. At the villages northernmost point stands a white-stone building with a single tower at its center. A large, ornate gold fox protrudes from atop its onion-shaped dome. To the south, a collection of modest cottages rests on an expanse of verdant grass and wildflowers. The village is surrounded by the strongest wooden pallisade of any village in the Mire, manned by nearly a hundred guards. Peace and order is kept quite well here in Fallfox, all courtesy of the payroll of the Merchant Princes of Westermarrow.
Fallfox has been called the best place to live within Mistfen Mire. Its a peaceful village that largely ignores the influences of Marshacre and Westermarrow. Its a calm place, a respite from the dreary landscape and overrunning creatures that inhabit the Mire. Many groups of adventurers make Fallfox their base of operations as they travel deeper into the wilds of Mistfen Mire. Even with all the peace here, the groups of monster hunters and adventurers cause trouble among themselves. The limited guards in the village are always overwhelmed with the amount of brawls between the foreigners.
