Woodvale
Woodvale has been an outcast since the earliest days of the old Rendlean Empire. Rebels and vagabonds are birthed here, and generally go on to leave the town to venture fourth and raid other Lower Rendleans. Woodvale used to be a good community before the war with the Dwarves. Since then, it has been impoverished and exploited to near death by the Merchant Princes of Westermarrow. Woodvale is a town on the verge of rebellion against the merchant princes, so zealotly so that they would march in force against anyone who opposed them. They demand a revolution, putting the town in a precarious position in Mistfen Mire. In 1652, the Merchant Princes of Westermarrow enlisted the aid of the The Gray Legion to deal with the unrest. Turning the battle hardened warriors into little more than a brutal police force. Who knows what the future holds for Lower Rendlea and its misfit population.
The town itself is surrounded by relatively intact walls from the days of the empire, still strong and willing to withstand a substantial siege. The homes are raised of walnut wood and quarried stone, leaving the town in a bleak visage. However, the town has an unwritten rule about any crime. If any crime is committed within the walls of the town, you will be put to death immediately.
