Impero Asteroidea
The Impero Asteroidea, also known as the Asteroidean Empire, is a Triton empire that controls all Triton nations in Shoujin's ocean.
Structure
The head of state and government of the Asteroidean Empire is the emperor, who reigns over the kings and queens of the empire's territories. While the aristocracy is largely defined by bloodline, the empire as a whole employs a feudal hierarchal system.
Demography and Population
Due to being almost entirely underwater, the Asteroidean Empire is largely dominated by Tritons, though it is also home to Sea Elves and the occasional druid from other races.
Territories
The Asteroidean Empire controls most of Shoujin's oceans, although large pockets of the ocean are instead under ownership by the Royaume noir. It does not operate any colony in Wagakeya, and immigration to Wagakeya by its people is rare.
Military
The Asteroidean Empire's military is extremely capable in the water, but the aquatic nature of its people means its military is very behind when it comes to terrestrial and aerial combat. It is for this reason that the Empire operates only a handful of terrestrial settlements. The empire is notable for its nascent submarine technology that gives it a particular leg up in underwater combat.
Technological Level
Asteroidean technology is about on par with most other nations but is very different due to having developed in a completely different medium (water). Where Asteroidean technology excels is in regards to underwater transport (e.g. submarines). The Asteroideans have made many notable and landmark contributions to marine science and fluid physics.
Religion
The Asteroidean Empire worships all the gods but especially pays special attention to Mercury and Poseidon.
Foreign Relations
The Asteroidean Empire largely avoids contact with the surface nations, but diplomatic relations with the Asteroidean Empire is critical for other nations such as the Transglobal Trade Corporation to control sea trade. The Asteroidean Empire however is particularly hostile with the Royaume noir, which is the only nation that contests ownership of marine territories with it.
Trade & Transport
The Asteroidean Empire is largely self-sufficient and does not trade much with other nations.
