Obligatory H.P. lovecraft. though i admit i cant actually read his work i find it too dry. Junji Ito was a real inspiration because he dosent care about explaining anything he gives you a world where sometimes balloons with your face fly down and tie a noose around your neck you know? and that was really helpful in me taking the leap and just throwing away causality for alot of Venarian horror.
