Session 05: Pirate Hunters. Report
General Summary
The party seem to come together around the 10th hour of the day at Mrs. Butterworths inn. As the breakfast crowd was ending Raz' Thrak met Dimmir, Dagon, Dante, and Arceven. Raz' Thrak decided that he was going to try these panned cakes made of wheat. Ordering three meals sat and ate them and the praised Mrs Butterworths Inn and declared that all people of the area should only eat at here inn or feel the Rath of Raz' Thrak. At this time a carriage with the Dukes Sigel showed up with the XO of the Order of the Red Dragon. Behind the carriage was a flat bed wagon pulled by a team of Clydesdales. Virric Shonnax eyed Raz' Thrak saying that in Avalon the people have a choice to where they want to go and meet. Virric tells Raz' Thrak the meeting with the Duke has been set up and that he would like to meet with them. Arriving at palace of the Duke the party meets with the Duke as Raz' Thrak presents his case to the Duke to protect his new found company Acquisitions Incorporated reputation. He ask that he handle the discipline of Dagwyn and her insubordination. The Duke assures Raz' Thrak that Acq Inc rep is good but that he will handle all case and the judgement of any one who breaks the law in Soteropolis. This duty was given to him by King Uther Pendragon and it is his discretion on who will be his judges. Dagwyn was brought out in a sac cloth beaten and bruised from her 24 hour imprisonment. The party also learned that she was involved in some kind of alteration with the dismemberment of a body part. On the way back to the port district Raz Thrak demanded that no secrets were to be kept from him as long as she worked for him. Dagwyn revealed to the party that she was working for the king and was a hired assassins. Arriving back to the Inn around early evening the party went to the Open Net to gather what ever information they could on the pirate. The party learned that she was new to Soteropolis region and only been raiding for about 9 months. She seems to be protected by somebody, whom no one knows. She seems to own three ships. Someone said that she was a member of the Scarlett Brother hood, but that could not be confirmed let alone no one seemed to know who the Scarlett Brotherhood is. Information gathered the party went to a candle shop called Obswalds candle emporium where Bette has been to know to frequent. Before the party departed for the candle ship Dagwyn was challenged by a Hammerfall dwarf in the pit at the Openet. Departing for the candle emporium there the party learned that she may have a secret base 12 leagues north of Soteropolis. Obswald also told the party that a associate of his has dissapeared looking for this hideout. The party makes it way back to the guild house to gather and decide what there next move is.
