Morchatel

The capital of Rouveil, Morchatel sits on a lake in the heart of the duchy. It is formed from a series of island ziggurats.
It is believed to be a Kizetan settlement that was abandoned long before the invading Lyssonnites colonised it. Modern Kizetan are very nomadic however, and some have theorised it is an ancient Elven settlement as it bears some resemblance to architectural styles present in their older buildings.

Mostly human with a larger than average population of wood elves, half-elves and kizetan

The city is relatively undefended, the denizens relying on the fact that the only entrance to the city is by boat or via the single land bridge from the lake shore.
