Shaiko

A small but significant province of Timer in the western valley provinces. Shaiko is the only province to span both the Tairong and Choral valleys. This gives it a unique and influential position for the valley provinces. Shaiko has aimed to exploit this position, building canals to connect the two rivers allowing the navies and trading fleets of the valley provinces to traverse between the two valleys safely, though at a cost of course.

Some of these canals are dug straight through the hills of the region. Few experiences will both impress and unnerved me as much as traveling on a great river boat some three hundred paces long through dark tunnels with nothing but the hanging lanterns off the prow to guide us for near two days. - Lukas
