Session 42: Pirates No More

General Summary

Nora Pandost , Lilmeia Garibaldi , and Graham White meet with Anya and Brokk Stonehammer to learn how to take apart the portals. They are made with khyber crystals, and contain a certain latent power. Destroying a portal is possible, but to avoid the risk of injury it requires time and the portal to be off.

Then the party goes to the school store, where they find a whole bunch of random items that will absolutely break the game later. The DM has only himself to blame.

Party talks with Archimedes Everbright about who controls what portals and get some suggestions. The party decides to address the portal off the coast of Sarlona next, and then the portal in the Lhazaar Principalities. Bidding the folks of Arcanix adieu, they head back to Morgrave University. Next, they chat with Doddra d'Orien about their next spots and discover an unfortunate truth: House Orien is in control of both portals. This causes a falling out and some hurt feelings amongst Indigo Team, who feels betrayed by Doddra.

The party agressively dismantles the portal in Sarlona, causing the bad blood to flow both ways, then doubles down on that when taking apart the portal in the Lhazaar Principalities. There, several members were anxious to resume their "privateering" against the villianous pirates that plagued the area... only to discover the area was filled with rigid rulesets and expensive charters. Disgruntled and with fewer friends, the party heads home. They decide Xen'drik is their next destination.
