Report begins...
This is the fifteenth report on the activities of Subjects 4777, 4778, 4779, 4780, 4781, and 4782, along with their relationship to, and interactions with Subject 1. Data for this and all other reports on these subjects have been gathered through mostly secondary and tertiary sources, with only occasional data from the primary sources themselves. As such, these data may be subject to the degradation effects of copying from one source to the next. For full reliability percentages, see the attached charts.
Day 157 of 4,543,626,881 (6 Jun of 98 AF in Local Notation)
As covered in the previous
previous report, having discovered information about a number of Biolabs, the subjects decided they would travel to
Rabbit to investigate Biolab 2. The only thing to add to this day is that, after making this decision, Subject 4781 (designated "R.A.N.C.H.E.R." and referred to as such henceforth in this report) spoke extensively with Subject 4112 (designated
"Fazul Pareen") to inform him of their decision.
Day 158 of 4,543,626,881 (7 Jun of 98 AF in Local Notation)
The subjects left
the Coop in the late morning, heading southeast along the route towards
Obo that the Coop would normally take (due to their low fuel situation, however, the Coop was instead heading northeast towards
Qaa).
Around 5 or 6 hours later, as they neared Obo, the subjects encountered a group calling themselves the
Children of Old Mother, who blocked their way on the road. This group is one of many similar groups springing up across
Taebur, all of which are devoted to the being known as
"Old Mother", said to reside in
Old Fastur. Perhaps the most notable of these cults is the music group called the
Harbingers. See Report 737 of the Taebur series for a more detailed analysis of this burgeoning new religion.
The subjects spoke for a time with the cultists and their leader, an engineered animal named
Scrag. Scrag invited them to join his cult. When the subjects refused, he agreed to let them go on, but without their vehicles. Despite the threat, the subjects were able to return to their vehicles and flee. The cultists chased after them, blasting the music of the Harbingers at very loud volume.
Having faster vehicles, the cultists caught up to the subjects easily. However, their fate upon doing so was less kind. The subjects used their abilities to burn the cultists and explode their vehicles' tires. In a display of extreme savagery, R.A.N.C.H.E.R. beheaded one of the cultists and crushed another with his giant club. The cultists soon surrendered. However, Scrag was not amongst those who had chased after the subjects.
End report.
