Eol Vilya

An average-length High Elf, a yellow-brown skin. His blue eyes glow faintly like all high elf eyes do, but more so when he uses magic. He has shoulder-long black hair that he keeps tied in a short ponytail.

When we entered the temple, I cast Detect magic and detected a form of twisted Abjuration Magic deeper into the temple.

Constantina, Ryze and I decyphered a magical circle deeper into the temple which turned out to be a puzzle, the puzzle was solved rather easily with the party. Ryze was a great help with the heavy iron door that needed moving.

In the room right after the iron door there was a magical trap that shot arrows from about a meter above the floor. It is easy to avoid if one crawls through the door.

In the next room there were six Yuan-Ti corpses, along with eight swords, they were all greatswords.

Halfway through a Detect Magic Ritual the swords began to animate as according to Constantine the Obelisk began using magical tendrils, which were invisible to the naked eye, to do so. Even if a sword was fully shattered, the tendrils could mend it and reanimate it in the blink of an eye.

I hypothesise that this Obelisk was capable of casting Mending, and then Animate Weapon within a timespan of three seconds or less.

The Obelisk’s physical fighting capabilities were low, but it could cast Magic Missiles, twice at the third level and once at the second level as well as Dispel Magic, a third level spell, twice.
After the second Dispel and the second third level Magic Missiles, it seemed to no longer cast Dispel magic. It was also only after this that it cast the second level Magic Missiles.
The Obelisk glowed red when it was damaged the first time and when it cast a spell.

Once we destroyed the Obelisk itself, like one would destroy a normal object, the Obelisk fractured completely, before it exploded and then imploded, sucking itself back into the Shadowfel. There was no evidence of it left behind as the Yuan-Ti corpses and the swords disintegrated fully.

Ryze then went out of the room to look around after I mended him and whilst I was mending the others. Constantina told me later that Ryze had found a book and a weapon, the extra weapon he wore was a bit obvious. Constantina told me she flicked through the book and found that the Obelisk came from the Shadowfel, the book contained no other information according to her.

The Obelisk was about fifteen feet by fifteen feet at the base and stretched thirty feet in height, it was purple-black in colouration. The swords themselves weren’t anything special, they seemed to possess no particular abilities of themselves.
