Hiatus Synopsis

by Ague Valdemar

The Saviors of Sandpoint find themselves crawling out of the piss-stained alleys in Grand Magnimar, City of Monuments, as they finally pursue some leads with teeth. With thoughts of cults organizing goblins and rampart murders with strange carvings in the victims' bodies, the Saviors find themselves drawing closer to an evil hidden among even the city's finest.

The night began at its climax. We found Justicar Ironbriar at the top of the Seven's Sawmill in a room decorated in the dry skin of many victims' faces. We talked for a while, the Justicar all but convincing the party that he was there investigating the murders, but at the sight of this Magnimar official, the Sczarni street rat Ague spat out an uncharacteristic accusation of the real work of the law in the city, placing on the mask of many skins the party had found in Misgivings, the old Foxglove manor. In the resulting fight, Ironbriar put on a mask of his own and summoned fiends to his side.

A couple of conversations went down after the brutal mauling of Ironbriar's corpse. Moving forward became difficult, as our best lead was bleeding on the floor. A quick concoction from Ague allowed Enmani to read into Ironbriar's coded book, and we were able to recover the name Xanesha once again. They had a meeting place in Underbridge called the Shadow Clock, a locale infamous for a child's tale of a monster that resides in the ominous place.

After disposing of the body in the machinery, the Saviors of Sandpoint returned to the Old Fang, Enmani and Ague recouping there while Bravos and Jimmy went to find a healer and/or a date. After a somewhat successful courting of the Priestess of Desna, the two went to the more affordable Church of Abadar, curing Anton Paran of the Feeblemind condition that was placed on him by none other than Lord Valdemar himself. After hearing this news, Bravos burst out of the inn off into the night. Anton Paran, though fairly independent, offered his services if his freedom was not guaranteed.

Fate or a Bugger's Schemes?

It seems that Pharasma turned up for Desna's festival. Err, well people did go the way to the Gray Lady too, but I was thinking about how I haven't been able to decide what I'll do without the Scamps. You survive a goblin invasion and manage to take some ...
