Elaine was an unfortunate child. She was born with the aether pox an illness that affects the aether in the aether particles around the host. The illness manifests in different ways for each host and for her it was catastrophic. Bursts of magic would run wild around her, causing all kinds of reality bending phenomenons.
Because of her illness's severity, her father the ex-emperor of the Ranginian Empire confined her to the castle's premises only. There she tended to the flowers of the gardens with his older brother, Adriel, who loved to keep her company. Every once in a while though, her tides of chaos would come forth and char the flowers. Then it was start over.
His father never spent time with her, nor showed any love towards the little girl. But she always thought it was just the way his father was. On top of that, his father sent his brother on a quest to prove himself after her mother died. So she felt alone and abandoned in the castle, was it not for the royal guards who spent time with her without fear of her outbursts, she had no one.
The week her brother came back was great for her. Not only did he come back, she brought with him a beautiful young lady who, though a little cold, was lovely and not afraid of her. But when her father came back she would understand that there was no love towards her from her father when he used her as a hostage against his brother.
She disappeared after his protectors fight agaisnt the prince of demons. She was transported to the Nine Hells and imprisoned in the castle of the prince of demons for 20 years.
She would later be rescued by Karl Von Stein and Kaede Foxglove, members of the royal guard crazy enough to go to the Nine Hells and fight the prince of demons army to get her back. They took advantage of a time when the prince of demons went to the mortal realm and rescued the kid.
They managed to come back to the material plane after 30 years of the incident.
