Appearance

Physical Description

Dani is shorter than average and fairly lightweight, with a willowy build. But don't let the slim form fool you into delusions of Dani being a frail, little thing. Dani is not overly strong or well-muscled, but she is fit and defined and as strong as any average man. Her well-defined but willowy build comes from her regimented fitness routine of yoga, swimming, martial arts, and hiking.

Body Features

Dani has pierced ears and piercing green eyes, a smattering of freckles on her face, arms, and chest, and natural wave to her long red hair. On a less flattering front, she has a scar in her stomach on the left side, and burn marks on her back along her spine from the nightmare of her First Change.

Facial Features

Dani has a straight and delicate Grecian nose and a hard jaw line. The combination of her naturally determined look and those two features give her a more handsome and intimidating appearance.

Apparel & Accessories

Dani favors sun and sweater dresses to most other clothing. Nothing ever goes past mid-thigh in length, and she has recently been belting on a stylish leather hip-bag with several pockets that attaches to her belt and thigh. She's never without her strapped boots, as she has several pair in various colors, lengths and styles. Whenever she leaves the hip-bag behind, Dani tends to carry a cross-body purse or bag rather than a more stylish clutch. Strangely, the winter's bite never seems to affect her anymore. She never seems to wear a coat, favoring a jacket on windy days and an overcoat on rainy ones.

Mentality

Personal history

Dani is now an Ithaeur Storm Lord. This is a major part of her identity now, as the nightmare of her Nuzusul time was traumatic and still doesn't make a whole lot of sense to her. Then her First Change burned so much of who she thought she was away. And now she feels very much alone in a new world, in spite or possibly because of the presence of spirits.
She survived her Nuzusul period because of the nearly frozen pond and the packed snow she put in her wounds and on her burns. She survived, but her family and their home didn't. Her family, what's left of them, are buried out back now in a quiet little cemetery near the woods.
The story she told police had them chasing mortal intruders who tortured and killed her family and nearly killed her before trying to blow up the house to hide their crimes. She survived because her husband forced her out the doggy door with the last of his strength. That was how her back was burned. The perky and non-violent young woman the police knew was broken in the events, and shattered on the re-telling. They believed her.
Afterward, while recovering in the hospital, other Uratha found her. That didn't end well. Now she's sworn to Skolis-Ur. Sworn to police her little town, her extended family, and the outlying farms. Spirits will never joyride her loved ones without suffering consequences that will echo through the choirs. Never Again.

Education

Dani graduated high school and married a local boy back from college. She took online college classes while raising their kids and has a bachelor's degree in nursing. She was going to get on at the Steelville Clinic, but then...it happened.

Employment

Dani doesn't work anymore. She has an annuity coming in for the rest of her life from her husband's insurance that covers the minimal costs of her lifestyle.

Mental Trauma

Honestly, this young Uratha is dealing with a lot. She lingers in the extremes of each emotion, but strives to reach the balancing point where she finds her peace.
Her Nuzusul period was brutal. She doesn't even remember seeing whatever it was that caused Luna to bless her with the Tell, or what that was. But spirits worked quickly and Claimed her family - twisting and warping the children and her husband into trying to kill her before she Changed.
When the Werewolves who found her tried to kill her as a witness to the Supernatural, she fled back to the pond that saved her and Changed. The fight was anything but fair, but Dani survived by violence. Since then, rage and violence have been with her constantly causing her to question her old values.
Now she has trust issues with other Packs. Even though she understands why they tried to kill her, she doesn't understand why they didn't stop when she Changed.

Dani seeks to defend her town and her people from predation by spirits.

Likes & Dislikes

Dani used to love soft and gentle things like flowers and bunnies and the like. Now she enjoys cold mornings and warm tea, and other dichotomies like that.
