Personal history
Savannah was born in a gnome tree-village in the The Efówl Forest on Hfóww Iksfven. Her father Sheldon was an red-haired engineer who developed artillery weapons for the Daskire army that controlled the territory her village was in. Her mother Marigold was a yellow-haired apothecary that tended to the village's sick and elderly. As such, Savannah was exposed to craftsmanship, alchemy, engineering and explosives very early in life.
When she was the age of 20, her village was unfortunately the target of an attack by the Noxtriti tribe. They had stolen one of her father's cannons from the Daskire, and used it to blow off the supporting branches that held up the homes of her village, to avenge the Noxtriti lives that were lost to Sheldon's weapon. Savannah and her mother survived the attack. Her father, unfortunately, did not.
Savannah, now one of dozens of homeless gnome survivors, knew she had to use the skills she learned to rebuild her village. Inspired to change the legacy of her family, she learned how to build housing, and that she could reinforce tree-houses using alchemy to better defend from future attacks. She vowed to never make anything that could be used to take lives, and destroyed the blueprints of her father's weapons. By the time she was 25, she had helped make her village an even safer place to live than it ever was before.
An idealist at heart, Savannah realized that she wanted to use her talents to improve lives of civilians not just in her village, but on a world-wide scale. Through prayer to Abadar she came to the understanding that world-peace would only come through the establishment of order and stability, and that she would face opposition in her goals from those who prefer a world at war. Steadfast, she started by working for the Daskire elves (who she secretly resented for her father's death), fortifying their forts, and tending to their wounded soldiers, but tensions started to rise when her philosophies clashed with the Elven generals she was building for.
Education
Through her experience with the Daskire elves, she caught wind of the existence of S.T.A.C.: the Society of Tinkerers, Artisans, and Craftsmen. At the age of 30, she said goodbye to her Mother and her home forest forever. She spent all of her earnings from her work to travel halfway around Hfóww Iksfven to reach this Guild where she believed she could learn the skills needed to "fix" the world.
She quickly earned her apprenticeship under a Dwarven Stonemason named Flint Stensen. She learned very quickly how to work stone even better than her skills at carpentry. Together with his expertise, and her understanding of alchemy, they invented a process of using steel reinforcement to support concrete structures. STAC became her new home, and she graduated as a Guildmember at the age of 40. She spent the next several years perfecting her craft and continuing her research with the guild resources.
Employment
During her time at the Guild, Savannah took on several commissions on behalf of STAC across the city. She built several important community buildings and helped improve the infrastructure. But her first big job out side of ___ came 14 years later when she was asked to travel to Last Haven to build a train station that would connect continents, enabling trade and travel at speeds that could never be imaginable by ship. It was an opportunity she could never have refused.
