Grandfather,
I've come to find that things like to do a full Circle, after we ventured into the High Born area of El Ratha and met with the Marid (I'll tell you more about that later), we were confronted by a guard who asked us why we had dissapeared and repeared five minutes later - magic I said, and a true answer it was that he took in his stride and told us that a man by the name of Ali Al-Rumi had requested our presence and apparently he was not a patient man so we were led to him. He asked for me by name, immediately worrying me that Chang had been up to his old shenanigans again, but luckily he just had some questions.
He then asked us to do something for him, because we clearly looked capable - which I'd agree for three out of four of us, and asked us to help quell the budding rebellion in the lower districts mere hours after this budding rebellion asked us to help them. While I won't say fortunately, for the whole East Monarchy has descended into mourning, the passing of the Emperor was announced before we could give him an answer and he had to leave. Did you know that he died from an undisclosed illness that he had apparently been battling with for five years? Then we exited the city to visit Karaman's parents - who ended up just being a singular doppelganger sent by the cult. We somehow adopted said Doppelganger... named him Idris Elba and keep him around to be Eye Candy.
Then we returned to the city, needing to pass through it to get to our other desination, and I happened upon Chang... well he sent me a letter to say he was also in the city and I got the head of the Mailmen to go find him to confirm. You could have given me a heads up, you know we don't particularly get along - eldest daughter vs eldest son rivalry and all that.
Now I'm off to go learn more about the anatomy of the Ifirit.
Much Love,
Xin
