Grandfather,
The Cult of Balraan proves to be elusive, every step we take towards them they seem to take a step away. They appear to be attempting to open a portal to Balraan's realm and are using old Nercomantic Magic in a language that I didn't understand - while it was Celestial it was one that I couldn't read. They use a circle to suck out life force of their victims and power what we assume to be a portal. It's old, certainly, and truly powerful which only proves to be worrying. I don't feel entirely comfortable writing the rules but it loosely translates to "This Circle is drawn for him Balraan draw power from this circle accept this offering and draw power" - Courtesy of a Senile Elf going by the name of Gudea (I'm not sure if they didn't use punctuation of that was Gudea).
I attempted to infiltrate the Ahryun Circle, as you know it was relevant thousands of years ago and has recently arisen but due to the... over-eagerness of a half-Aruxen trying to prove himself I was denied of this opportunity. It is unfortunate and I will attempt again but I fear that my previous methods will not be of use the second time around. A member of them (El-Nouri), however, did do some work with the Cult which goes on to prove that the Cult most definitely has connections in the Criminal World and the higher-ranking families of Hath Ul Farad.
But I digress, while the records will be of interest to you I can fill them out when I return, you're likely far more interested in the companions I find myself with.
Juvar Nylgaris,
He is kind despite the cards the world has dealt him, he risks his life for others. A Half-Elf courier, or as he calls himself 'a mailman', but also a monk with perhaps a connection to the spirits? It would explain how he has gained access to which that would have been denied to him otherwise.
Karaman McMondo,
A Dwarven Ranger with a penchant for stealing things. When we were infiltrating El-Nouri's home under the guise of me being a noblewoman (which in a sense I am) and other members being my servants, Karaman was tasked with sneaking in. He proceeded to use this free rain to shit in the man's sink, leave a note with the symbol of the cult and made things extremely complicated when El-Nouri, understandably, was pissed off the cult apparently shit in his sink.
Zendar the Unbroken,
Descendant of the God King Abraxa, Half-Aruxen. I have little to speak of him, other than he threatened a man that's ego was as fragile as a glass slipper and therefore ruined the goodwill I had between myself and a member of the Ahryun circle.
Signed,
Xin (Your Favourite Grandchild)
