Inside the Black Spider's Web
Throughout their investigations into the surrounding areas of Phandalin, the adventurers found clues that pointed to the location of Cragmaw Castle which is currently being led by King Grol, leader of the Cragmaw goblins. The adventurers set off to the heart of the Neverwinter Woods, where the castle ruin is located and storm their way inside. Here the characters discover that the Black Spider is a drow adventurer named Nezznar, and that the Cragmaw goblins work for him. He had employed them in order to find the Forge of Spells and gain the power for himself.
The party also recover Gundren Rockseeker's map to the lost mine and learn the mine's location within Wave Echo Cave, a long-abandoned cavern located near Phandalin.
