Hard to tell the number of days gone by. How does one tell time down here without celestial references? As we broke camp, the party confronted me. I guess it was building. I knew I couldn't hide it long. Just to have all of them gang up like that felt like I was on trial. Baby Dragon, again, was incredibly blunt. I am not sure if its a moron, or just rude. For the most part, they were consoling. Gold was very supportive, although he felt the need to check my pulse, like nobody else had thought to do that. In the end, they seemed to accept me as I am. Frankly, that is the first time a group of people have done that. Usually one in a group accepts me, the others are full of fear and hate. They now know what I am looking for, or should I say who. Sornafein emphasized the past is unchangeable and gone, so to look forward and build on who you are. The problem I have is, who am I?
After the uncomfortable confrontation, we headed out. Every now and then I thought I heard things, but wasn't sure. Then, I heard a commotion around the corner. Someone who understood orc heard about supplies. We turned the corner, and Gold saw the goblins and orcs and just charged in. I have to admit, it was impressive, but he took an arrow in the chest that staggered him. Slowed, it did not seem to stop him. I charged after him and was able to catch up, and get a heal off.
It was really the first time we got to operate as a party, and you know what?! We kicked their asses. I needed to cast a couple heals, but for the most part, Mazira, Rory, and Gold handled the orcs without issue. Unfortunately, a bunch of Skavin burrowed in from the back.
It appears there is a supplies war going on down here. The Skavin were stealing from the orcs. They took down a couple goblins, when Gold and Rory got involved. It took a little more time, but we handled all the Skavin too.
Felix had a minor scrape which I attended too. While doing so, he and I had a few words. I expressed my feeling that they not hold back to where it costs lives. Felix was obtuse as usual, and seemed to believe he was helping as needed. I am still unsure about them. For the most part, the 5 of us handled it all with little of our blood spilled.
I gathered cloth, and Sornafein cleaned it so we have bandages now. The rest of the "loot" was pretty useless. We continued on and spent the night in a room. We headed out in the morning, afternoon, evening. This being unsure about the time of day can be maddening. We came across a stream that was contaminated with Chaos dust. They're poisening the denizens of the underdark with chaos corruption. Now the supply raiding is making sense.
While trying to rest again in a room, we had visitors. A bunch of Skavin interrupted the second watch. Rory, Mazira and Gold created a humanoid bulwark, and I was right behind them healing. I even got to cast some offensive magics. We handled the interruption easily. Rory then walked out to see if there were others. There is just one thing wrong with that idea, Rory cannot see in the dark. I really do believe he is a moron. Thinking obviously is a skill he uses little, or even lacks.
A second wave descended upon us. Again, the ragers handled the assault easily. They do create an impressive meat wall, and one that can belch fire too. I am not sure if this is just natural cohesion of abilities, or something is up about us being put together as a party purposely. But so far, with just a few minor exceptions, we seem to be working very well together. I wish I could take a dump. I would love to leave one on the damn dragons chest. That would shut his maw up! Ah to dream......
